Self-employment in the cleaning industry is a million times more accessible to those who don’t have a nest egg to start with vs. something like medical school. And I definitely did not have a nest egg. Now, what I do have is an incredibly successful cleaning business with 11 employees. Plus, I was able to hire my mom and launch a second business: The Cleaning Co. Coach. And you know what? I actually love working even without the white-collar status of an MD.
